County-to-County Migration Analysis

Use migration analyst tools and database to examine the origin and destination of population who moved from one county to another county during the period from 1995 to 2000 and annually through 2005 to 2010. Data shown on this page are for illustration only. Data are updated annually and will be coordinated/integrated with American Community Survey 2005-09 estimates in 2011.

The following graphic (click to view larger image) shows the migration analyst user interface. Select any single or multiple counties from the all U.S. county listbox at the left. The display grid shows three sections. Section one shows the migration to and from this county between 1995 and 2000 based on Census 2000. Section two shows the migration into this county from other counties (by county and groups of areas) based on the IRS 2006 tax returns. Section three shows the migration from this county to other counties (by county and groups of areas) based on the IRS 2006 tax returns.
