View>Select/Identify Mode enables mouse to be used to select/identify a geographic object.

Main menu View>Select/Identify Mode

Click on Select/Identify mode for mouse operation as shown below.

Click a layer name in legend panel.  It turns blue indicating that layer is active.

The Counties layer is now active.

Click on any county (geographic object/shape) and mini-profile displays.

All fields/attributes are displayed.  Editing for that shape is now possible.  Any field value can be changed.
