County Single Year of Age Population Estimates/Projections, 2000 to 2020
How will the K-12 school age population, ages 5-17, change between now and 2020 by county? Use the new Proximity county single year of age population estimates/projections to roll up the single year of age data to age cohort of interest to you.

City/Place Demographic Updates
A review of the July 1, 2007 national scope city/place demographic estimates and trends.

Updated Place Boundaries; Shapefiles
A review of the latest January 1, 2007 U.S. by incorporated places boundaries and associated shapefiles for geospatial analysis.

Geocoding Resources
Use the new Census Bureau TIGER/Line shapefiles to create streets shapefiles using the CommunityViewer Edge2Street tool. Then use the streets shapefile to geocode your address data. Create your address location shapefile and add to a GIS project. Attach census block and higher level geocodes to each address-coded record. This section will provide a step-by-step summary geocoding how-to summary. This a continuing series of coverage using TIGER/Line shapefiles in DMINews, linking these files and their use to other map files, economic, and demographic data becoming available.

Demographic Modeler
An update on using the Proximity Demographic Modeler, a transportable software component that can be called/used by other programs (as well as being a stand-alone program). The Demographic Modeler component is used to develop age-race/ethnicity-gender demographic estimates and projection used in the EnrollmentAnalyst among other applications. Integrate the Demographic Modeler in your applications. Make your own demographic estimates and projections.
