County Single Year of Age Updates
National scope 2007 county level single year of age population by race/ethnicity and gender are expected to be available from the National Center for Health Statistics and Census Bureau joint program. This section reviews the scope of these data and how they are integrated for access through CommunityViewer, MetroDynamics, and other tools.

School/School District Demographic Updates
Access to and use of the new 2006-07 school year demographic data developed by state departments of education and summarized by the U.S. Department of Education will be summarized.

American Community Survey (ACS) 2006-2007 Demographic Profiles
Demographic profile (DP) datasets, with national scope 2007 demographic data, developed from the Census Bureau American Community Survey are reviewed. The ACS demographic profiles are an integral part of MetroDynamics. Scope and use of the MetroDynamics Version 2 2006-to-2007 demographic/demographic-change profile is described. This is first time that the ACS data can be used to compare demographic change for all metros (two of the total 363 MSAs that are under the ACS 65,000 population threshold and are omitted from coverage).

Updated State, Metro and County Demographic Projections
This section reviews reviews updated state, metro and county level age-race/ethnic-gender annual estimates and projections to 2020. These updated estimates and projections make use of the recently updated Census sourced age-race/ethnic-gender estimates and national level projections to 2050.

Geocoding Resources
This section reviews geocoding tools available through the CommunityViewer software. The two basic types of geocoding are reviewed: use of the Web-based online geocoder and use of the augmented TIGER/Line streets shapefiles.

School Planning Areas & Attendance Zones
School planning areas and attendance zones subdivide school districts and are defined/designated by the school district. These notes address processes and tools that a school district can used to develop attendance zone boundary shapefiles and use them in demographic analysis.
