Participation Prerequisites

 geographic data: points, lines, polygons

 subject matter data: census, administrative, estimates, survey based, projections

 microdata vs summary statistics

 Federal geostatistical system; your assets; evaluating options

1.b. Install CV XE GIS (requires Windows)

 

Section 1.b. items are not required to participate and benefit but strongly recommended.

 install the CVXE software and US1 Project files before sessions for best results:

 The following two links download a file that you will then start.

 In the terms of use you agree not to redistribute any of these files or use the files with other software or applications.

 Both installers require UserID and Password.

 

1.b.1. Run CVXE Windows installer --- http://proximityone.com/cv/1/cvxe_installer.exe User Group version

 - if you have CVXE installed, skip step 1.b.1.

 

1.b.2 Install CVXE US1 GIS Project Files --http://proximityone.com/cv/1/us1_installer.exe

 the US1 GIS project installer file requires ~212MB to download & occupies ~ 980MB for use by CV XE GIS.

 this installer will overwrite the existing, default, US1.GIS project.

 

To delete the above files delete the c:\cvxe folder if installed with defaults (recommended).
