Metropolitan Statistical Area Population Trends Ranking Table
The Metropolitan Statistical Area Population Trends Ranking Table provides population and population change data for Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) on a current defintion basis (MSAs as defined March 2008). This table is updated annually as new population estimates become available and previous year data are revised. Poulation data for 7/1/2000, 7/1/2006, and 7/1/2007 were developed by aggregating Census Bureau county official population estimates released in March 2008. See additional details. Population data for 7/1/2020 were developed by Proximity based on a components of change model. Annual estimates and projections are available from Proximity in database and shapefile structure.
