This presentation summarizes use of selected data and tools for school and school system planning and analysis. The Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD), TX area is used to illustrate use of these resources. These Web pages show how Proximity information resources can be integrated for wide ranging school, school district, and small area planning and analysis.

Much of the data presented here are derived from the Proximity School District Information System (SDIS). SDIS contains the same types of data, as presented for the CCISD area, for all school systems in the U.S. SDIS is a unique resource enabling users to compare, contrast, and query areas and attributes using any combination of subject matter and geography.

SDIS uses an open-ended architecture enabling the addition of database tables having supplemental subject matter. For example, custom demographic current estimates and projections could be updated annually for one or a set of school districts by census block or other component areas (such as attendance areas). Database tables can be added provided that standards for geocodes are followed.

Use the Proximity School District Demographics Online (SDD) to compare Clear Creek ISD (or any other school district) with other school districts of interest -- anywhere in the U.S. SDD is a companion resource to SDIS providing access to the most detailed demographics available.
