ProximityOne Home Page Resources to create and apply insight

This section illustrates use of the Washington, DC Census 2010 by census tract shapefile geometry as extracted to XML structure using the Shp2XML software. In this application, the census tracts appear as blue polylines integrated into a Google Maps API application. Markers have been added for a selected set of census tracts to illustrate how census tract labels may be used. These marker locations are based on the census tract shapefile latitude-longitude coordinates contained in the shapefile dbf (dBase file). Click a red marker or a census tract link in the right panel to view tract code in name format.
