Toolbar -- Database goto operations

    dBCreate/Modify -- create, view, modify attributes/fields for a database file (any dbf)

    dBrowse -- view, sort, query database file (any dbf)

    dBMerge -- merge two database files on common key

Toolbar -- Settings goto operations

Several operational settings are controlled by DEDE configuration file. Modify these settings using by selecting Settings>Start-up Settings from the main menu. When selected the Start-up (INI) Settings form opens as shown below.

 

The installer defaults to drive c: and folder dede (c:\dede)

- the default settings are recommended to be consistent with documentation.

- DEDE may be be installed on any drive and in any folder.

- the configuration file (dede.ini) is created by the installer.

.. the drive and folder settings in the ini file must agree with the actual file locations.

- if DEDE is installed to "D:\dede" the drive and folder would appear as shown below.

- if DEDE is installed elsewhere, like "u:\dede", references to d:\dede must be replaced with "U:\dede".

.. changes may be done with the Settings>Startup Settings feature from the main menu toolbar.

.. drive and folder names are not case sensitive.

.. modify the Execution Folder, for example: (u:\dede) and Data Folder (u:\dede\1)

 

 

After the Settings form is modified, click the Save button then the apply button toward the bottom of the form and then close the form.
