This section illustrates census tract pattern analysis based on Census 2000 median household income.

 

The base project layer Tracts 00 HH is modified to show a thematic pattern.  The following view shows patterns of Census 2000 median household income (MHI) for Honolulu County tracts.  The legend panel shows three MHI dollar intervals associated with corresponding colors.

Develop the above type pattern views for any area in the state.  Use the Layer Editor to modify the tracts layer and create three intervals/sections like that shown in this example (the field dp3058 is the MHI file):
