Census Block Groups
The files are available in dbase and CSV format for any selected summary level or grouped summary levels. The data are available as in files structured as described below or integrated into shapefiles for mapping and GIS applications.
Identifier and subject matter fields
All identifiers, codes and subject matter correspond identically with the Census Bureau data with these exceptions:
Urban data geography and subject matter, not available from Census, are developed by Proximity.
Census block file records optionally contain the urban area code.
ZIP code data subject matter are developed by Proximity.
Census block file records optionally contain the ZIP code.
