Block Group Demographics

In this section, you will learn to find a block group (BG) code based on an address and examine any block group using iVDA with the "Base" project.

We cover some navigation fundamentals like zooming and using the searchbar.

In the iVDA frame below, enter an address in the searchbar and press enter.

.. enter an address or location, not case sensitive

  9451 N 84th St, Scottsdale, AZ 85258

.. the map view zooms-in and places a blue triangle at the location.

Navigate for a closer zoom-in.

In the Legend Panel at the left of the Map Window, scroll down to "BlkGroups Code" layer and check on.

.. BG codes appear in the Map Window.

Click the blue marker and see the BG highlights in the map

.. and a demographic profile is displayed in the lower left.

.. here you can examine many demographic subject matter items.
