In this section, you will learn to examine the 119th Congress Congressional Districts using iVDA with the "Base" project.

Step 1. Enter a location of interest

.. in the searchbar key in "Atlanta, GA" (no quotes) and press enter

.. the view zooms to the Atlanta area

 

Step 2. Below the map window click the zoom out button 5 times.

 

Step 3. In the Legend Panel at the left of the Map Window, check on the layers:

 CD118 Code, CD118 Boundary, CD119 Code and CD119 Boundary

.. the view now shows both 118th and 119th boundaries

 

The map window now shows the 118th CDs (black boundaries) and 119th CDs (red boundaries)

.. here you can see visually how the CD boundaries differ.

 

Click any CD to view its demographic profile is displayed in the lower left panel.

.. here you can examine wide ranging demographic subject matter items.
