Streets

In this section you will learn how to examine intersection-to-intersection street segments anywhere in the U.S. using iVDA. The Streets data are based on the Census Bureau TIGER/Line Edges data.

 

At start-up the map window view is focused on the White House  and Ellipse in Washington, DC.

.. click any street segment, it highlights red and shows a profile for the street segment in the lower left panel.

 

Find a Street Segment Based on an Address or Location

 

In the iVDA frame below, enter an address in the searchbar and press enter.

.. enter "8790 E Via De Ventura, Scottsdale 85258" not case sensitive, no quotes

.. the map view zooms in and and places a blue triangle at the location.

 

Click a street segment; it highlights red and displays a profile in the lower left panel.

 

Try an address or location of interest.

The actual location is shown by the blue marker. The lower left panel profile shows the street full name and:
