This document provides an integrated summary of selected demographic-economic characteristics and patterns for Texas and sub-state geography and access to corresponding data and tools for further analysis and extension.
The resources are intended to further empower stakeholders to better understand the existing conditions and examine how demographic-economic characteristics are changing for wide-ranging application areas and geographies.
Applications in this document are substantially developed using the Proximity CommunityViewer (CV), MetroDynamics (MD), Situation & Outlook and related tools and may be applied to any state or region. CV operates on a Win32 computer (XP or Vista). While CV is used to develop applications shown in this document, all data may be directly used with software that supports use of shapefiles. CV is not required. The no fee version of CV can be used to perform most operations illustrated in this document.
