The ranking table shown below presents basic data such as the number of students receiving educational services, full-time equivalent (FTE) teaching positions, 2008–09 completers, and number of schools for each of the 100 largest school districts. See related Ranking Tables Main Page Data Notes • Based on data reported by state education agencies. • -1 indicates not available. • Count of students receiving educational services from the school district may differ somewhat from other counts which reflects the count of students from the schools aggregated up to the school district. • Full-time equivalent (FTE) is the amount of time required to perform an assignment stated as a proportion of a full-time position. It is computed by dividing the amount of time employed by the amount of time normally required for a full-time position. • The number of total completers for the entire 100 largest school districts includes districts that reported diploma data but did not report other completer data.
