ProximityOne Data Services

ProximityOne Data Services (PDS) provides you with access to multi-sourced geographic, demographic and economic data. All PDS resources require a userid to access data. Some downloadable datasets are available at no fee to members of the ProximityOne User Group. Most PDS resources described here require a PDS subscriber userid.

This section is focused on U.S. by county downloadable datasets. See related sections for other types of geography. Data downloaded via this page may be used in any manner, but the files, or subsets of the files, may not be redistributed. See terms of use.

DEDE API

In addition to datasets described here, your own user-specified data may also be downloaded as structured files using the Demographic-Economic Data Extraction (DEDE) tool. For example, ACS subject matter item "Age by Disability Status by Health Insurance Coverage Status" for the population under 18 years of age (item B18035_002E) is not available in any county dataset, PDS or otherwise. But you can download/view in table/ this type of detailed subject matter data using the DEDE tool without downloading a large dataset -- enabled using the API feature.

User Group members may use DEDE Level 1 to extract block group level data for any set of subject matter items tabulated in Census 2000 SF3, Census 2010 SF1, ACS 2010, ACS 2011 and ACS 2012.

PDS subscribers may use DEDE Level 2 to extract any set of subject matter items tabulated in these data resources at the block group, census tract, ZIP Code, county and other geographic levels also. The scope of available data -- from these programs -- is much more detailed than data provided in datasets listed in this section. Create your custom datasets.
