Conressional District AZ-01 is comprised of 17 Congressional Communities (CCs). These CCs are part of approximately 7,350 CCs covering the U.S. wall-to-wall which nest within and exactly sub-divide each Congressional District. This section is intended as a briefing resource for AZ-01 constituents and stakeholders. The U.S. 435 118th Congressional Districts (Jan 3, 2023 to Jan 3, 2025) have an average population of approximately 763,000 population, larger than three states. The size and diversity of Congressional Districts make it difficult to communicate effectively with Congress, and difficult for members and their district staff to understand and gauge constituent needs. The Congressional Communities structure brings much needed organization through subdivisions of Congressional Districts, thereby helping Americans have their voice heard by Congress. A CC coalesced voice on matters ranging from a block grant to fix a problem, noise abatement, environmental fixes to transportation solutions can be more effective than single voices. Arizona Congressional District 01 Congressional Communities The 17 Congressional Communities within AZ-01 focus on establishing ongoing dialogues with Congressman David Schweikert and his staff, as well as Arizona state legislative district members and their staff, on action-oriented topics of interest. It is where we the constituents seek help on matters that relate to government operation. The table below shows some aspects of how CC demographics differ. .. the blue highlighted row shows the overall district; other rows show its component Congressional Communities .. see that the diversity (4th column) ranges from 24.8 to 62.4. .. see that the percent Hispanic (7th column - Pct Hispanic) ranges from 5.3 to 39.4. .. many CCs are totally urban while the majority of AZ-01 geography is rural. .. Comparative Demographic Analyses of AZ-01 Congressonial Communities with AZ-01 .. goto top CCs nest within CDs, exhausting the CD land/water area. These reports provide a comparative analysis of demographic characteristics of a CC relative to its CD. Using the Demographic Analysis (DA) compare your CC with other CCs of CD. These are both HTML documents designed to optionally print to 8.5" x 11" dimensions. The tabular looks more like a spreadsheet while the narrative report provides a comparation more in a flowing narrative and adds contextual detail. Issues are topics that are raised in the zoom meeting. An opening issue for many AZ CD 01 CCs might be the healthcare or housing, examples.
