School Age Population Estimates & Projections

The state-by-state population 5-to-17 years ranking table shows population 5-to-17 years of age and percent population 5-to-17 years of age, 2000 through 2030. In this table, the "P" columns show population 5-to-17 years of age in the corresponding year. For example, P2000 refers to the population 5-to-17 years of age in year 2000. The "%" columns show the percent of population 5-to-17 years of age relative to the total population in the corresponding year. For example, %2000 refers to the percent of the population that is ages 5-to-17 years in 2000.

National scope state projections by single year of age to 2060 are now being developed and scheduled for release in June 2012. The new projections make use of Census 2010, American Community Survey (ACS) and related data. Contact us for more information. Mention 2060 projections in the text section.
