State Total Population Estimates & Projections
The state-by-state total population ranking table shows total population and percent of U.S. population, 2000 through 2030. In this table, the "P" columns show total population in the corresponding year. For example, P2000 refers to the total population in year 2000. The "%" columns show the percent of state population relative to the total U.S. population in the corresponding year. For example, %2000 refers to the percent of the U.S. population in that state in 2000. Update. Projections reviewed in this section will be updated with Outlook 2060 projections now being developed.
