MetroDynamics
-- assessing competitive position and change
-- expanding insights through data analytics
-- examining components of change characteristics

MetroDynamics is a multi-dimensional geographic-demographic-economic information resource focused on metropolitan areas and component geography. MetroDynamics is a core ProximityOne information resource providing insights into characteristics and trends of current vintage metropolitan areas. Access a diverse set of data, updated frequently, to examine drill-down demographic, economic and business data for smaller geographic areas within the metro.

MetroDynamics Integrated Software & Database
Use the MetroDynamics Integrated Software & Database to view metro demographic-economic patterns and characteristics. The following view illustrates use of the MetroDynamics Windows package to create GDP time series profiles for the Manhattan, KS MSA. See pointer in interactive map above table.

Optionally export grid/table displays. Examine output saved in Excel, HTML and other formats, integrate with other data. Examples of Manhattan, KS MSA are shown in Web/HTML format in the following links.
  • Real GDP by Sector
  • Real GDP by Sector; Percent of Total
  • Per Capita Real GDP by Sector

Data in the above exmaples make use of the historical MetroGDP time series released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis in December 2019. Use the interactive table to view, rank, compare metros using these data. ProximityOne augments BEA sourced data by 1) estimating the suppressed data cells and 2) developing 5-year ahead current estimates and projections.

MetroDynamics enables you to view data in a mapping/GIS context or tabular manner. Install MetroDynamics on your computer and develop these types of analysital views immediately for your metros of interest. Integrate your own data.
