For example, the 2020 vintage Census TIGER shapefiles include these shapefiles (among many others): - 2020 ZIP Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA) polygon shapefiles. - 2020 Census tract polygon shapefiles. Some applications require knowing what part (area) of ZCTA(s) intersect with what part (area) of tracts. Counties cover the entire nation and are all represented in this file.
