From 2020 to 2023, among larger counties, the number of housing units grew fastest in St. Johns County, FL (17.6%) and Montgomery County, TX (16.6%). These estimates are derived from the Census Bureau model-based estimates that are developed/released annually in June. These data are developed in part for use with the more detailed American Community Survey (ACS2023) housing related data released annually in the fall. Use the VDAGIS tools to create maps, like the one shown below, using any of the items in the table for any area.
